NQS, EYLF and AC wants what we all do: strong, healthy and confident children that are ready to learn and take on life's challenges.
Child wellbeing is something that is already at the top of our list of priorities; we want to make sure the children in our lives are safe, healthy and happy.
This ‘thumb’ will likely be of second nature to many of you already, However now is the time to acknowledge what you already do and see how it can be (or is already) connected to the other fingers and toes. You will also notice how those other digits can also have an impact on ‘child wellbeing’.
The wellbeing of the children under your care directly connects with the learning outcomes in the Early Years Learning Framework.
Use environmentally friendly cleaning products (try our green cleaning activity)
Promote healthy eating and rest throughout the centre not just with the children
Encourage outdoor play and outdoor teaching
Involving children is discussions and decision making giving them confidence, a sense of agency and being valued at all ages.
